Golang Job: Software Engineer

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Software Engineer

Position type: Full-time, Contract

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Boise, ID (Hybrid)

What you will do

• Work within a development team to assist in leading significant scope and drive complex projects to completion.
• Produce maintainable, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.
• Demonstrate subject matter expertise and ownership for your team s services.
• Collaborate with the product team, architects, and others to document features and changes.
• Participate in peer design and code reviews.
• Elevate the performance of colleagues through training, mentoring, and promoting best Practices.
• Experiment with technologies and propose solutions to colleagues
• Incorporate monitoring, logging, and tracing with DataDog and Snowflake.
• Participate in periodic team standups and retrospectives.
• Mentor other engineers, having a voice in defining our challenging technical culture, and helping to build a fast-growing team (depending on level).

What experience you need

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience working within a development team to lead significant scope and drive complex projects to completion.
• 5+ years of strong software engineering and software architecture background in languages such as Golang, Python, and SQL.
• 5+ years of Experience building RESTful APIs and/or gRPC within a distributed microservice architecture.
• 3+ years experience implementing Amazon Web Services like IAM, Lambda, EKS, Neptune, DynamoDB, RDS.
• 3+ years experience using IaC tooling such as Terraform
• In-depth Experience with Docker.
• Experience with metrics, monitoring, and visualization tools (e.g. DataDog).
• Experience working in data pipelining and ETL processes.
• Excellent communication skills and desire to work in a collaborative team environment.

What could set you apart

• Experience with relational, graph, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Spark/PySpark and Amazon EMR
• Experience with Snowflake
• AWS Certification(s)
• Experience with OWASP, Cryptography, and PCI Data Security.
• Experience with DEVOPS patterns and tooling (Gitlab, Datadog, Helm)

Pay Range*: $65 - $70 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
